History

1955

The Beginning of a Visionary Journey

At the young age of 15, Mr. Mirza Ghias Ahmed, along with his four brothers, traveled to Kuwait to begin his professional journey. He started humbly, working as a helper in a furniture manufacturing company. His dedication, technical mindset, and hard work laid the foundation for a lifetime of innovation.

1965

Return to Pakistan – Birth of “Mirza Weaving”

After gaining valuable experience abroad, Mr. Ghias returned to Pakistan in 1965 and established a small weaving unit under the name “Mirza Weaving” with power looms. Over the years, the number of looms steadily increased, expanding his footprint in the textile sector.

1967

Expansion into Export

In 1967, he started exporting suiting fabrics and fruits to his brother’s company in Kuwait, marking the beginning of his export journey.

1971

Birth of “Mirza Gloves MFG.”

Mr. Ghias launched “Mirza Gloves Mfg.”, a Glove manufacturing unit. He revolutionized the local glove industry by being the first person in Pakistan to import a fabric hand-cutting machine, at a time when gloves were still being cut manually with scissors.

1981

Going Global – “State Protective Clothing Company”

In 1981, Mr. Ghias established an export-oriented company, State Protective Clothing Company, and shipped his first gloves consignment to Germany. This marked the true beginning of international recognition.

1981–1984

Formation of the State Textiles Group

Within three years, he established six more companies, collectively forming the “State Textiles Group of Companies”, which became one of the largest glove exporters from Pakistan during the 1980s.

1987

Transition Period

Due to unforeseen circumstances, State Protective Clothing Company ceased operations.

1991

Mr. Umer Ghias Joins the Business

At the age of 20, during his graduation, Mr. Umer Ghias, the eldest son of Mr. Ghias Ahmed, entered the family business, bringing with him a fresh perspective, technical skills, and a global vision.

1993

Establishment of “Pak Safety Tex”

Under the supervision of Mr. Umer Ghias, Pak Safety Tex was born. His technical expertise and visionary leadership expanded the company’s portfolio to include hundreds of products. He also set up an in-house workshop to develop specialized tools, machines, and gadgets for textile and glove manufacturing.
